Childrens Classes​

At United Dance we aim to provide a happy and nurturing dance environment for our young dancers. Through high quality teaching we strive to ensure that each individual reaches their potential and develops a lasting love of dance!

We offer a structured, yet vibrant children's programme based on the IDTA syllabus from pre-school age to 15 yrs. We teach all 10 Ballroom and Latin dances  - Waltz, Tango, Quickstep, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Cha cha, Rumba, Samba, Jive and Paso Doble!

Strictly 'Step 1' Class

An introduction to the world of Ballroom and Latin American dancing, structured to the IDTA Social and Pre-bronze dance syllabus. Pupils learn the basic steps along with dance technique and styling. Our classes are energetic and fun and many dancers begin competing as solo performers and as part of a dance partnership.

Strictly Dancesport 'Step 2' Class

This class teaches more complex choreography and focuses on all aspects of dance technique to further refine pupils dance skills. Some pupils are regular competitors and working through the IDTA medal system.

Our young pupils play an important part of United's success at competitions and showcases.
